Welcome to CaseEdge. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CaseEdge (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Subscription Plans and Payment

Free Plan: Access to 70 behavioral questions (10 per category), sample answers, STAR framework guidance, and a limited set of case studies at no cost.

Premium Plan ($29/month): All 210 behavioral questions, full case library, Good → Great answer breakdowns, and progress analytics. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime from your account settings — no questions asked.

Elite Plan ($49/month): All Premium features plus AI Resume Tailor, AI Answer Evaluator, AI Case Generator, Story Builder, and Firm Intel prep packs for 30+ firms. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime from your account settings.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which you retain access to your current plan's features until that date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at support@mycaseedge.com.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account
• Scrape, copy, or systematically download content from the platform
• Redistribute, resell, or republish CaseEdge content (questions, answers, case studies) without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Intellectual Property

All content on CaseEdge — including questions, model answers, case studies, good-to-great breakdowns, and design — is the intellectual property of CaseEdge. You may use the content for personal interview preparation only. Commercial reproduction or distribution is prohibited without our prior written consent.

6. AI-Generated Content

CaseEdge uses artificial intelligence — including Anthropic's Claude API — to generate and personalize content such as case studies, behavioral answer feedback, resume bullets, and firm intelligence summaries. By using AI-powered features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Supplemental resource only. AI-generated content is intended as a starting point for interview preparation, not as professional career, legal, or hiring advice. It does not guarantee any particular interview outcome or job offer.
• Accuracy not guaranteed. AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You are responsible for independently verifying any content before relying on it.
• Your inputs are processed externally. When you use AI-powered features (e.g., Resume Tailor, Story Builder, AI Answer Scorer), the content you submit — such as resume text and behavioral stories — is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. This is necessary to generate personalized results. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
• No guarantee of uniqueness. AI-generated outputs are personalized based on your inputs but may share similarities with outputs generated for other users.

CaseEdge is a preparation tool and resource. We make no representation that completing any feature or achieving any readiness score will result in an interview offer or job placement.

7. Plan Downgrade and Data Retention

If you downgrade from Elite to a lower plan, your cancellation or downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full Elite access until that date.

Upon expiration of your Elite billing period, the following data will be permanently deleted from your account:

• Saved resume tailoring sessions (up to 15 stored versions)
• AI-generated case studies saved to your profile
• Story Builder outputs saved to your account
• Any other content generated by or stored through Elite-only features

We will display a warning in your account before downgrade takes effect so you have the opportunity to download or save any content you wish to keep. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered. CaseEdge is not responsible for any loss of data resulting from a plan downgrade or account cancellation.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome (such as receiving a job offer) will result from using it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaseEdge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
